McCune's Sculpin - Olive

McCune’s Sculpin is a modern classic designed to perfectly imitate the bulky profile and bottom-hugging behavior of sculpins. A staple food source for trout, steelhead, and char, sculpins are present in nearly every river system—and this fly has earned a reputation as one of the most realistic and productive imitations available.

McCune’s Sculpin combines natural materials with a deer hair head that pushes water and creates a lifelike silhouette, while the combination of  arabbit and chickaboo body adding plenty of natural undulation in the current. This fly was popularized throughout the Bristol Bay region, but has developed a reputation for being effective wherever sculpin swim.
