Senyos Laser Dub

Senyos Laser Dub

Senyo’s Laser Dub is a carefully designed blend of fine flash and acrylic fibers. This material is prized for its ability to add both sparkle and structure, as well as holding volume underwater without collapsing.

Best Uses:

  • Streamer, Baitfish,& Sculpin Heads: Exceptional for creating wool-style, veiled heads on sculpins, muddlers, and other streamers, giving flies a realistic profile that pushes water and triggers strikes. A good example would be the head on the "Thrasher" streamer tied by Erik Hurst.

  • Nymph & Dry Fly Bodies: Nice material for dubbing onto your thread for building out nymph and dry fly bodies when you want a hint of flash. Some examples include using the purple for a Purple Haze parachute, or utilizing the tan and olive on caddis nymphs.

  • Steelhead & Salmon Flies: In brighter colors, it can be added as an attractor on intruders and other steelhead streamers. The creator of Laser Dub, Greg Senyo, originally developed this material for use in his steelhead flies.

  • Wings, Collars, & Veils: Works beautifully as an accent or primary material, providing a balance of shimmer and movement that enhances streamer wings, nymph collars, and egg veils.
